2018 Election:
In the 2018 election Debbie Lesko ran for the United States House of Representatives for the first time, after nine years in the Arizona House of Representative and the Arizona State Senate.

In the primary election Congresswomen Lesko ran against Republican, Sandra Dowling, and won with 77% of the vote. Lesko won by so much because of her years in the Arizona State Legislature, and her ultra conservative views.

In the general election, Lesko was up against Democrat Hiral Tipirneni. Debbie Lesko won the general election 55% to 44%. In the state of Arizona, this outcome was not a surprise within the 8th District.
