The top three employers for this district are; The State of Arizona, Walmart, and Banner Health.

Party Affiliation:
Even though the vote was much closer than in the past, Arizona's 8th Congressional District is still a Republican state. In the 2018 election Debbie Lesko won the general election 52% to 47%. In the 2016 election, however, the republican nominee incumbent Trent Franks won the general election 68% to 31%.

In the 2016 presidential election Arizona's 8th District voted 47% for Donald Trump and 44% for Hillary Clinton.

Fun Facts About the 8th Congressional District in Arizona:
The Fiesta Bowl, witch is one of the main college football bowls, is held in Glendale which is apart of the 8th District of Arizona.

The Arizona State Fair is also part of the 8th District, which host's musical guest ranging from Scotty McCreery to Iggy Azalea.  Guest of the fair can also enjoy deep fried watermelon, flaming hot Cheetos dogs, and spaghetti ice cream.
